On Wednesday evening a reception will be held at Hotel Bachmair (our main conference hotel).

On Thursday a trip with the Wallberg-Bahn up to the Wallberg Restaurant is planned. Wallberg is a mountain close to Rottach-Egern. We will have a transfer with small busses or taxi from Hotel Bachmair to the Wallberg cable car. With the cable car we will float up to the peak of  the mountain, where the Wallberg Restaurant with a beautiful panorama view is located. For the more adventurous participants, a hike up the mountain should also be possible.

Extra Tickets for the social events are available at the following rates:

-         Wednesday reception: $ 35

-         Thursday social event: $ 60

Co-Located Events:

In addition, for your travel planning you might want to consider the following:

§         The well known "Oktoberfest" takes place in Munich from September 16 until October 3, just prior to ISLPED. Munich is about 1 hour away from Rottach-Egern. You can find more details at: www.oktoberfest.de. Hotel rooms in Munich might be difficult to get on short notice during the Oktoberfest.

§         On the more technical side, the CLEAN Workshop on leakage takes place prior to ISLPED in the same conference center in Rottach-Egern on October 2. Please find details at: http://www.edacentrum.de/veranstaltungen/2006/low-power-workshop/

So, a perfect trip might consist of the CLEAN workshop on October 2, Oktoberfest on October 3 (which is a public holiday in
Germany), and then ISLPED from October 4-6.
