Accommodation
Lausanne offers a variety of Hotels with prices starting from approximately 100.- CHF. Most Hotels are located in the city of Lausanne from where the conference venue (EPFL) can be reached by Metro within 15-20 minutes.
Hotel rates typically include a free Metro card for the duration of the stay.
Few Hotels (see two of them listed beow) are also located in walking distance from the conference venue (EPFL).
ISLPED organizers recommend one of the three Hotels listed below which offer special rates for the conference.
We strongly recommend that you make your reservation at your earliest convenience as only a limited number of rooms are available at the preferred rate and cut-off dates apply (see Hotel information below).
Starling Hotel (walking distance to EPFL and ISLPED)
The Starling Hotel is located next to EPFL (toward the lake) and less than 5 minutes walking distance from the conference.
Special ISLPED conference rate: 140.- CHF / night (from 28.7.- 31.7.)

Swisstech Hotel (walking distance to EPFL and ISLPED)
The Swisstech Hotel is located directly at the EPFL M1 metro station and less than 5 minutes walking distance from the conference. The Metro connects EPFL with the center of Lausanne (15 min).
Special ISLPED conference rate: 100.- CHF / night (for BASIC room), 125.- CHF / night (for STANDARD room), both without breakfast

Alpha Palmier (in the center of Lausanne)
The Alpha Palmier Hotel is located in the center of Lausanne, at 5 min. walking distance from central train station and from the city center, as wel as from the Metro M1 which takes you directly to the converence venue (EPFL).
The Hotel does not offer a special conference rate, but good prices are available from the coonference website.
