From Taoyuan International Airport to GIS NTU Convention Center:

 

  • Note: Taoyuan Airport MRT officially began service in March 2017! It offers a convenient way to travel from the airport to Taipei City.

  • ● By MRT: The easiest way to reach GIS NTU Convention Center is taking Airport MRT from the airport to Taipei Main Station, and then taking the MRT Green Line from Beimen Station to Gongguan Station (Exit 2).
    1. Walk from the arrival hall to the Airport MRT station. It's a 5-minute walk. Walking directions: (a) for Terminal 1 (b) for Terminal 2.
    2. Take Airport MRT to Taipei Main Station. There are two types of trains: Express Train and Commuter Train. Express Train (purple line) is faster and it takes about 35 minutes to get to Taipei Main Station. It departs every 15 minutes and is available from 06:12am to 22:42pm with a fare of TWD 160 (about USD 5). For more information, please visit: Airport MRT website.
    3. Walk from Taipei Main Station to MRT Beimen Station (Green Line). It's an 8-minutes walk (walking directions)
    4. Take the MRT Green Line (Xindian Direction) from Beimen Station to Gongguan Station (MRT route). It takes about 10 minutes with a fare of TWD 25 (about USD 0.8). For more information, please visit: Taipei MRT website.
    5. Exit from Exit 2 of Gongguan Station. Turn left and walk along Roosevelt road. You should arrive at GIS NTU Convention Center within 5 minutes (walking directions).
  • ● By Taxi: A taxi ride from the airport to downtown Taipei normally costs around TWD 1,350 (about USD 45). This service is available 24 hours a day. It takes about 45 minutes to get to GIS NTU Convention Center. For more information, please visit:

  • ● By Bus: You can also take Kuo-Kuang Bus 1819 to Taipei Main Station and then use the MRT to reach the conference venue or your hotel. The bus departs every 15-20 minutes and operates 24 hours a day with a fare of TWD 125 (about USD 4). It takes about 55 minutes to get to Taipei Main Station. From Songshan Airport to GIS NTU Convention Center:

 

  • ● By Taxi: A taxi ride from Songshan Airport to GIS NTU Convention Center normally costs around TWD 360 (USD 12) and takes about 20 minutes. This service is available 24 hours a day.

  • ● By MRT:
    1. Walk from the arrival hall to the MRT Songshan Airport Station (walking directions).
    2. Take the MRT Brown Line from Songshan Airport Station to Nanjing Fuxing Station (Taipei Zoo Direction). At Nanjing Fuxing Station, change to Green Line and go to Gongguan Station (Xindian Direction). It takes about 25 minutes from the airport to Gongguan Station (MRT route) with a fare of NTD 30 (USD 1). For more information, please visit: Taipei MRT website.
